Jessica found Stephen irresistibly intelligent, witty, handsome...and knew she would marry him the moment she laid eyes on him. Stephen knew instantly that their love force was the most real thing in the universe and wrote Jessica a book professing his love at the three week mark.

long version:

After living in the same town for 26 1/2 years (!?!) our guardian angels finally allowed us to meet...on March 12 at an Oscar Party hosted by Molly, by our officiant.

Jessica knew she was going to meet “her person” that day. She’s psychic like that. Stephen was hell-bent on going to the party, but not sure why exactly.

Stephen: I was already at the party for a half hour or so. In walks Jessica and I drooled on the spot. I was spellbound and thought immediately, how can you be here? I was stunned by how striking this person was. We were introduced and I felt tingly and dazed. But I totally played it off cool as a cucumber.

Jessica: You, cool as a cucumber?! Not at all! 😉. As I walked into the room I looked over and there he was, sitting on the sofa and I thought, “Oh…it’s him”. I played it off cool as a cucumber. I had gone to the table to fill out the Oscar Party winner guessing paper. And in no time he had swooped in and sat across from me. He was hooked!

Stephen: We paused our initial conversation for a winner’s speech on TV. It was inspiring and we marveled that we both got the goosebumps at the exact same time. And those goosebumps have never gone away!

Jessica: Or maybe I’m just cold because you have the air conditioning on 24/7!

Stephen: Ahem. After getting your number, I waited until NOON the next day to text you. Total game!
